Dr. Kavalam is our latest addition to the practice whose path to kidney medicine began with a fortunate first job fresh out of medical school — working alongside a renowned nephrologist whose mentorship sparked a passion that only deepened through years of research and advanced training.
He completed his nephrology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and before that, contributed to kidney transplant research at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
His clinical interests center on electrolyte disorders and kidney transplantation.
In his free time, he enjoys road trips, photography, and exploring the outdoors — usually with his dog, Chilli, leading the way.
